The new cover for The Khekarian Threat is done and – wow – does it look fantastic!
I’ve changed the blurb on the back as well – and that’s what caused the delay. When I announced this a week or so ago, I didn’t expect to get in my own way.
The designer of this wonderful creation is Laura Gordon of The Book Cover Machine and today I will add a link to her site.
I found Laura by accident when I was so busy posting week before last. Checking that one of my extra posts was up on the WordPress Reader, I found a new post by The Book Cover Machine. Everything rolled forward very quickly after that and I am thrilled with the results.
Laura produces regular ready-made covers at a VERY affordable price. She also custom designs them. I went for a full wrap custom design, and Laura made it very easy for me to be part of the process. I think that’s important to know. I had not worked with a professional designer before and seriously didn’t know what to expect.
I will also admit that I tried very hard not to get my hopes up (you know, just in case). The whole process was very easy. I was given choice and final say over every aspect and her very first draft was above and beyond my wildest dreams (yes, I am allowed to be that excited about it – it’s my book).
I don’t know if I can keep up with her latest ready-made designs, but I shall give it a go to make her latest the picture link in the right hand margin of this blog, somewhere underneath my GORGEOUS new book cover. Click on her latest ready-made cover to take you to her site. If you’re looking for a cover for your book, I wholeheartedly recommend her.
So, I found her by happenstance – total serendipity – and now I’m so excited about the upcoming covers for the rest of the series.
Cheers, all! 🙂
