Picking up the Pace

I’m finally getting my act together and can tell you all that I’m now on Facebook and LinkedIn as well as Twitter – and I’ve freshened up the look of my blog with Likes now showing on the main page – All good stuff.

Things are going to get busy.

Rest assured, I’m still writing and Book 3 is making it’s way towards completion, although, sorry to say, I’m not going to make the July schedule. I’m currently looking at October.

Bear with me, the wait will be worthwhile.

Cheers, everybody!

Congrats on all the work you have gotten done. Being creative people I find that we have a tendency to get lost in our words and forget to keep up with social connections. I have not tested the waters of Linkedin or Twitter. I am not sure if I am ready for the responsibility of maintenance.

BTW I have noticed the changes on the blog and I have to say I do feel like they breath a different kind of life to the blog. I like it for whatever that is worth.

Thank you, Candice, I hugely appreciate your words here. It’s all new to me, too. With regard to Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, I’ve connected them to my blog so that each post automatically generates a post or page or tweet, whatever. That way it’s all “controlled” through my blog, which makes it very much easier and nowhere near as time consuming as trying to do it all separately.

And thank you for your feedback on the changes I have made. I was surprised at how good it looks and pleased. I’m so glad you like it, too. That’s important to me. :)

Running the media sites via your blog…I need to do a bit more exploring with the power that is WordPress. You are very welcome. Your blog is really easy to follow. It draws you in with out distracting from the content and the images make it clear what you are all about. Good job. I am still figuring things out, but it has only been 6 months so I won’t put too much pressure on myself. ;)

Thank you again, I’m trying to keep my site clean looking and uncluttered.

The way to link Facebook, etc., is under settings, click on sharing. It took me a bit to figure it all out, following what I got from their support and forums. I had a harder time getting Facebook to work, and someone very kindly rescued me.

I’ve been blogging for 18 months now, and it was very much step-at-a-time. I’m still learning, but then I don’t think that ever stops. :)

Thank you for the help. I am going to have to explore Twitter here soon and see if its something I should link to. It is another platform so it might be wise to take advantage.

I am still trying to figure out my blog appearance, what is necessary and what is extra added clutter. But as you said, step-by-step. There is no need to rush. Creativity is all about taking the scenic route.

I very much agree with that. It’s too easy to burn out otherwise. It’s great fun trying out new stuff or a new style, or just building on it. Bottom line is, it’s your place and you want to feel comfortable with it.

By the way, I found Twitter very easy to set up.

I am sure I will get the hang of things and the “view” that I want for my lil corner here. Now might actually be a good time to make sure my “easy” button works lol
